Grinding for Netherwing

Lok’tar

After spending 5200G for both Flyer and 300 Riding Skill, Lokt is now grinding his reputation with Netherwing. One of the factions in Outland which if exalted will open an opportunity to earn the NetherDrake. I want that. No, Lokt wants that!!! Currently, Lokt is at Friendly with Netherwing. Will be exalted within one week if nothing shitty happens.

I still remember how hard it was to get attuned with Netherwing. They are so many annoying group quest in SMV and Netherstorm. One of them is Zuluhed the Whacked, a 5-Men Group Quest. After keeping this Quest for about 2 months, finally Lokt was able to complete this quest last week. Finally, Netherwing!!! One can get attune with Netherwing by doing this Quest, Kindness, then a series of chain will do you. 🙂

I have Epic Flyer now

Lok’tar

After numerous days of accumulating Gold, Lok just bought his new Epic Flyer. An increased of 280% speed on Air. Faster than his previous mount which was 60% increase in speed. Faster huh? Lok can now travel faster than before. No longer he will be left behind.

For the Horde!

I believe I can Fly

Lok’Tar!!!

Haha. The most horrible lag I have ever faced 2 days ago. Come on Blizzard, we pay and we expect better performance. These shots were taken using Panoshot Addon. What actually happened was, I was trying ride my flying mount but it failed to load. I realized I could fly when I was trying to jump. Instead of touching the ground, I stayed afloat. Aha, I was flying.

Blizzard, you did well. I love you.

I used to think that I could not go on
And life was nothing but an awful song
But now I know the meaning of true love
I’m leaning on the everlasting arms
If I can see it, then I can do it
If I just believe it, there’s nothing to it

(Chorus)
I believe I can fly
I believe I can touch the sky
I think about it every night and day
Spread my wings and fly away
I believe I can soar
I see me running through that open door
I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly

See I was on the verge of breaking down
Sometimes silence can seem so loud
There are miracles in life I must achieve
But first I know it starts inside of me oohh
If I can see it, then I can be it
If I just believe it, there’s nothing to it

(Chorus)
I believe I can fly
I believe I can touch the sky
I think about it every night and day
spread my wings and fly away
I believe I can soar
I see me running through that open door
I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly

hey’Cause I believe in you
oh…………..

If I can see it, then I can do it (I can do..)
If I just believe it, there’s nothing to it

(Chorus)
I believe I can fly
I believe I can touch the sky
I think about it every night and day
spread my wings and fly away
I believe i can soar
I see me running through that open door
I believe I can fly (I can fly)
I believe I can fly (I can fly)
I believe I can fly (I can fly)

Hey if I just spread my wings (I can fly)
I can fly (I can fly)
I can fly (I can fly)
I can fly (I can fly)
Hey if I just spread my wings (I can fly)
I can fly…(i can fly,i can fly)
woo… (i can fly)
hmmmmm…fly, fly, fly

Bye

A jerk in Orgrimmar

Lok’tar

There’s a jerk in Orgrimmar, a level 61 Shammy named Kaocan. A real Jerk. Exploiting some kind of bug in WoW in which a Fire Nova Totem could damage players if a caster log out after casting the said Fire Nova Totem. He killed my bank and some others low level character, just for fun. Funny he might think. Killed me once, forgave him. Took it as a joke. But he had gone too far, keep on killing and killing for nothing. What an ass hole. I had to move my bank to some other place just to avoid that idiot. He must be dead by now, if I met him in real life!!!

Many players have open ticket to Blizzard regarding his behaviour. If only Loktaramish can teach him a lesson!!

My Karazhan Raid Experience

Lok’tar

A days ago I was in Kara raid. It was a guild run [SMASH UNIT]. We downed the Curator, Opera Event (Romulo and Julianne), Shade of Aran and of course the best event of all, The Chest Event. This was my second time in Kara raid. The first time I was quite a newbie, and my gears suck at that time. However, I was able to move on with the Raid with little difficulties. My first Kara raid, we managed to down only the Curator and Chess Event. We were lack of DPS at that time. Even the Curator took us 4 attempts. I was rewarded with [Bladed Shoulderpads of the Merciless].

I realise I need more power if I want to be worthy for Karazhan Raid. Thus my personal quest to upgrade my gear started with [Primalstrike Bracers]. Followed by [Primalstrike Belt] and finally the [Primalstrike Vest], of which provide me with the 40AP bonus from the Primal Intent set.

Later on, I decided to upgrade my boots [The Master’s Treads] into [Boots of Utter Darkness]. I was quite lucky while browsing AH, since the pattern for this boot would cost 500G-1000G in Aman’Thul. Some nice person sold it at 190G.

Now, I am worthy fo Kara or for worst case scenario, I am able to do Kara.

Children’s Week

Anu belore dela’na

Haha. Guess what? There’s special oaccasion for the children in both the Outland and Azeroth. It is called the Children’s Week. It is actually a celebration for the Oprhans of Azeroth and Outland. Whose father and mother died in war, killed by the Burning Legion and what not, well I do not know. It is just a game, but the idea, it’s wonderful.

There’s nothing much to do except taking your adopted children to see the world. Sightseeing as people would call it. Take these children to here and there, see the Dark Portal, go to Sporeggar, bring them to se the Dragon Nozdormu, The Keeper of Time and many more. Easy to do but tiring as you have to go many places.

About the rewards, there’s nothing much, but player will have the opportunity to choose special non-combatant pet. Useless actually, but hey, you can have a companion while questing. Haha!

As for Loktaramish, he has two Children under his care. Take a look here:

Why WoW on Linux?

Throm-Ka!!!

Why I play WoW on Linux. Is there any specific reason for that? Obviously I do not have Windows installed and the only way for me to WoW is by using Wine. Used to play Wow using Cedega but later on, I found out Wine is much more better than cedega. Wasted USD5 for Cedega. While using Cedega my latency was like 700++ compared to 200-300 with Wine.

The reason : I do not own Windows!!! That’s the reason why I WoW on Linux. Not because of superior graphic or better performance. But it is faster and better than Windows. What’s more, I have no fear for Virus, Spyware, Malware, Worms and so on. I am in control.

Later, this evening, I will update my Distro to the latest version, Version 8.04 (Hardy Heron : LTS). Hopefully all goes well. If not, God save me.

My Rig for WoW

Anu belore dela’na

What do you use to run World of Warcraft? Is it run on Windows, Mac or perhaps Linux or maybe FreeBSD? Well, there are many ways to play World of Warcraft. Some even play WoW on their iPhone [check out]. That’s real WoW addict, lol. I believe it is no fun at all.

As for me, I use Wine to play World of Warcraft. Oh sorry, Wine is a program that allows Linux user to play or run Windows Program on Linux. It acts just like Emulator but Wine is not an Emulator. The name itself is a recursive acronym of “Wine Is Not an Emulator”. It is a compatibility layer for running Windows programs on Linux. How cool is that? Very Cool!!!

In the old days, it was difficult to run WoW with Wine. As the program matures, and more programmers take part in enhancing and fixing Wine, today Wine can run WoW flawlessly. WoW with Linux is better than Windows in term of speed and graphic. Seriously, make your switch to Linux, Ubuntu of course.

Well, here’s the Rig Spec:

Intel Core2 Duo 2.6
Asus P5N-E SLI
GeForce FX 7600 x 2
2G Mushkin EM Series DDR3

What’s Yours?
