Just another round of expressing my 2 cents to the world. If it annoys you then I am sorry. BTW, this is my realm. Not yours!!! I can even post my nude pictures if I wanted to. Buzz off if you dont like it here. While waiting for ePrints to finish it’s compilation on Ubuntu Server, I browse Malaysiakini for any good news. And I found 1 good letter on English in Maths and Science. Again with the same reason why must English in Maths & Science. Usually these would be the reasons:

1. To improve their English
2. To broaden their employment opportunities

Ok. No doubt that English is very important (Well those Japs can do without it). My argument here is, mastering English should be made in English Class not in Maths and Science. I do not see any relations to improve English with teaching Maths and Science in that language. Well, I did not learn Maths and Science in English but I can speak, write and understand English, Engrish, Minglish and broken very well.

Tun Dr. Mahathir could do anything at that time. Let say, he urged schools to make use B.Melayu in Maths and Science. None of this will happen. And… most of us be not wasting time with this issue. Maths and Science in English is absolute nonsense if the aim is to improve English.

Language is very unique. Very unique in a sense of multiple subject areas need to be addressed. Language has reading and comprehension, grammar, writing as well as listening and speaking. All languages have these elements. Where do those elements appear in Maths and Science? (Di Celah Beda Lah!!!).

Improve English, Yes you must. But do it right!! Do it properly. Do not join the band wagon of those imbeciles.

I have read an article in Malaysiakini.com about conducting IB Exam in schools. All about revamping our education system and continuing using English as the medium for Mathematics and Science. /rofl. Why English on those 2 subjects? I believe, this must be the reason, an untested hypotheses and phailed (failed) reason : “To improve English among those students“. Well, this is all Bull Shit. Nothing is better than a pure English Class for English Language. Teaching Mathematics and Science in English will only hinder our children’s development. English should be taught in English Class, just like B. Melayu in its own class.

It is true that our education system is ancient. It is obsolete and examination oriented. It does not focus on human development. It is a fail system. That’s why we have so many “Yes Sir” type of person. Few can break free from this curse. Few can see the light of truth and few can really think for themselves instead of “Yes Sir”.

I do not agree with English as medium for Mathematics and Science if the main reason is to improve English. What the hell man. Instead of teaching Mathematics and Science, teachers will need to teach English as well. And not in English Class. This is plain Bull Shit. Not working as intended… Hello!!!! All those idiots passing out these policies are indeed imbeciles. English should be taught in English Class. That’s the only way to improve English.

I still remember, me Ex-Dean used to say

Read in English, Speak in English, Smile in English, Have your dream in English. You will improve your English.

And where do you start to use English in School? English Class, English Language Society and English whatever. Not in Mathematics and Science. Those are phailed (failed) missions. Unfortunately, many do not realise about this. And what not, those unlucky students, having failed with English, teaching Maths and Science in English will only worsen their studies.

Okay, what the hell is not right about our Education System in School. The very first thing is the method of teaching. Almost all subjects do not focus on Human-Development. I mean, none of these subjects provide the ground for our children to think. They are all taught with a pre-defined subjects with no room of explorations. To think out of the box? Meh, with this kind of system, no way!!!

Example in Class1

Teacher : Who knows what is a Mango?
Poor Little Child : Teacher! Teacher! I know. I know.
Teacher : How does it taste like?
Poor Little Child : Sweet!
Teacher : (Without event realise that Ripe Mango do taste nice and sweet) WRONG!!! Mango is sour!!!
Poor Little Child : NO! I ate it yesterday. It was sweet.
Teacher : Sit Down!!! Mango is sour

That’s how our current education system. They have set the rules for these poor children to follow. No ground for exploration. How do you expect our children to grow and learn. You should know that at this age, Standard 1, Standard 2 and Standard 3, children are very eager to know almost anything. They have this kind of drive that we must manipulate to shape them into thinkers!!! Not Yes Sir Man!!

Think wise and be wise. The system needs total modification.

Semoga anda sekalian berada di dalam keadaan yang gagah serta sihat. Adapun World of Warcraft : Wrath of the Lich King sudah berada di dalam pasaran. Copy saya masih berada di kedai Auntie Lollipop di Subang Parade (Mungkin Anda Kenal!!). Baru-baru ini mantan Perdana Menteri, Tun Dr. Mahathir, ada memberi ucaptama di Perdana Discourse Series di Perdana Leadership Foundation. Tema PDS pada kali ini adalah Bangsa Malaysia. Siri ini (yang ke-8) adalah salah satu daripada 10 siri yang dikelolakan oleh Perdana Leadership Foundation yang juga ditaja oleh Proton.

Suka saya berkata disini, apabila Tun Dr. Mahathir bercakap, ataupun memberi sepatah dua-kata, ramai orang yang akan teruja. Semua orang suka nak dengar apa dia nak cakap. Setiap kali siri ini diadakan, atau mana2 event yang melibatkan Tun Dr. Mahathir, sambutannya adalah amat menggalakkan. Sehinggakan ada beruk2 yang menyangkakan Perdana Leadership Foundation adalah kubu kuat Tun Dr. Mahathir, ianya ada tidak benar sama sekali. Kaji2lah dahulu akan sebab penubuhan PLF dan fungsi utama PLF. Tidak ada satupun daripada misi dan visinya adalah untuk kepentingan orang tua itu.

Saya kalau ada orang salah anggap dengan PLF ini mmg saya tidak berapa nak suka. Itu adalah tempat bermulanya karier saya sebagai seorang Librarian. Jadi musti mau hormat. Tun Dr. Mahathir ada berkata di bahawasanya:

Sesiapa saja, baik Melayu atau bukan Melayu, boleh menjadi Perdana Menteri Malaysia asalkan dia “Bangsa Malaysia”.

Itu adalah pendapat Yang berbahgia Tun. Tapi, tidak semestinya, saya akan bersetuju dengan pendapat Tun. Saya tidaklah seperti penyokong-penyokong beliau yang fanatik. Apa sahaja Tun kata, sokong!!! Tidak perlu pikir-pikir. Itulah dia Penyokong Fanatik beliau. Seperti tiada otak hendaknya. Haruslah kita berfikir dahulu sebelum menerimanya.

Saya memang tidak ada masalah untuk sesiapapun menjadi PM di Malaysia. Cina, India, Hindu, Buddha, Chrisitan, Muslim, Jawa, Melayu, Islam, Atheist, Banjar atau sesiapa pun. Asalkan yang adil dan saksama sahaja. Bukannya zalim dan thagut.

Namun, suka saya tekankan disini, kebanyakan orang-orang UMNO dan orang-orang Melayu masih belum bisa menerima PM yang bukan melayu. Ini kita dapat lihat dengan perlantikkan Pengurus Besar PKNS. Berduyuh-duyun bantahan daripada masyarakat MELAYU dengan appointment itu. Heboh diperkatakan Tan Sri Khalid khianat kepada orang-orang Melayu (Celah Mana!!). Inilah yang dipanggil Serkap Jarang. Yang menuduh orang di atas sana, yang BODOH mengikut adalah mereka yang dungu. Siapa yang Khianat sebenarnya? I don’t know you tell me!!! Meh! Itu baru PKNS, belum yang di atas lagi.

Kalau macam ini keadaanya, bila pula Malaysia sudah bersedia menerima PM Bukan Melayu?? Okey. Pikir-pikirkan lah!!

It has been a while. Not too long by the way. I just bought me a copy of World of Warcraft newest Expansion, The Wrath of the Lich King. A great game and more challenging. This game is my alternate life. Ohh My. I am so addicted to this game. It’s bad, but I still continue playing. It’s crazy, but I enjoy the content of the game. One thing I am sure of it, World of Warcraft is full of fun.

I paid RM168 for this game and will make sure it’s a well spent stuff. Btw, I am still on queue to enter the World of Warcraft. 1000+ queues man. What the hell. Eversince WotLK has been launched Aman’Thul has become Aman’Phail.
